•Manage sales and specification activities including supervision of distributors/dealers, contracts, customers, and consultants.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES
•Manage local distributors and build solid network with local developers and consultants.
•Develop new business relationships, generate, and negotiate new business opportunities while continuing to cultivate existing accounts.
•Generate new sales leads to meet and exceed agreed revenue targets.
•Actively and successfully manage the sales process including planning, prospecting & cold calling, investigating & developing, presenting, negotiating, closing and handing over to the distributors, if applicable.
•Manage customer accounts including stock forecast/management, credit and accounts receivables.
•Participate and represent the company at industry tradeshows, exhibitions, and events.
•Manage and maintain a sales pipeline and associated sales administration tasks.
•Work with the Sales or Customer Service Coordinator to prepare quotations, proposals, responses and requests for information.
•Collect and analyse information on competitor & market intelligence to keep abreast of industry trends and to support product–pricing strategy.
•Monitor customer preferences to determine focus of sales efforts.
•Liaise with and provide feedback to Marketing Department on both current and future campaigns.
•Commercial and technical support of existing customers.
•Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
•Remain proactive and responsive to prospective clients.
•Degree in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related discipline preferred.
•At least 4 years of sales experience, preferably with construction / building material industry background in Malaysia.
•Experience and exposure with M&E consultants and plumbing contractors would be an added advantage.
•Knowledge of local plumbing, sanitary and drainage products/services and the market
•Knowledge of the local construction materials market
•Knowledge of marketing strategies and tactics, product demonstration, sales techniques, and sales control systems.
•Confident negotiator and able to ‘close the deal’.
•Good people relations skills.
•Good project management skills and drive to implement approved strategies and plans.
•Good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint software programs.
•Proficiency in the Chinese language will be an added advantage.
